| Shefa is a calm and compassionate counselor and group facilitator. Her approach supports individuals to heal through self-curiosity and self-awareness and encourages others to show up with all their complexity, fear, and longing. In addition to the more traditional approaches to counseling, Shefa encourages clients to bring the wisdom of their bodies, souls, and intuition into the service of growth. She aspires to bring a sense of playfulness into the hard work of healing whenever possible.
Shefa holds a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in body-oriented therapies from John F. Kennedy University. She is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist (#47600). In addition to her psychotherapy training, she is a Certified Massage Therapist and an experienced Doula. Shefa is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).
